Canna indica hybrid
CHF25.00Price
The first bulbous plant I ever bought back in 1997. This exceptional canna also holds the record of the most long lived plant in my collection. Of course, the original rhizome is long gone, but these plants are offspring from the mother plant which has slowly and steadily been multiplying over the past 22 years here. Perfectly hardy aghiainst a south facing wall which is covered by a roof, so stays drier in winter, with a good mulch of bark and conifer branches, devided every few years when the clumps become congested.
Said to have been bred in the 70's, this hybrid is not very often seen nowadays. Produces taller plants in richer wetter soils, 120-160 cm's tall, flowering from August/November. Flowering sized rhizomes.
